  • Looks like T-Mobile has been hacked

A post on the Full Disclosure site seems to indicate that somebody has broken into the T-Mobile servers in the US and copied all of the data:

Tmobile has been owned for some time. We have everything, their databases, confidental [sic] documents, scripts and programs from their servers, financial documents up to 2009.

We already contacted with their competitors and they didn’t show interest in buying their data -probably because the mails got to the wrong people- so now we are offering them for the highest bidder.

Please only serious offers, don’t waste our time.

There’s a lot of data on the post that would lead most people (including me) to believe that the boast is real.

    Scary.

    1. Sorry, I meant to type:
      That’s scary.
I’m going to reconsider renewing my contract with them.

    2. after reading your comment i contacted T-Mobile in UK who said they run on a different system to the US and therefore my details were safe. as i was speaking to Customer Services i did ask for assurances about the safety of UK data however the response from them did not exactly engender confidence. i asked to be kept informed several times but i doubt the message got through…
