    1. Just got it. Nothing very exciting, but a few extensions did need to be replaced.

BTW, for those who like Personas, Thunderbird supports this way of changing the theme on the fly, much like Firefox can do. (I use the Eudora/Penelope skin, but it works the same way for most purposes.)

    2. Folks, just “plain” using Firefox is NOT good enough, regardless if you are using an old version or the latest one. Using Firefox with the “right” speed tweaks will make your Firefox browser fast & stable and you’ll get the most out of your browsing experience (and not complain about Firefox’s RAM hogging problems).

Visit the following site on how to speed up Firefox:

    3. Firefox “speed” is not an issue for me, unless I leave several script-heavy tabs open for a long time (like when streaming Flash-based videos of hour-long TV shows from legitimate sites).

What is an issue is how slowly Firefox launches, but this is partly dependent on my extensions, which “phone home” when the browser opens, and my Comodo Defense+ and Avast on-access security modules, which scan activity and pop up a few alerts each time Firefox or its extensions launches.

Basic browsing with Firefox has never presented me with “speed” issues. And I run it on very basic last-generation hardware.

    4. Just got 3.6.3 today. They updates are flying fast and furious!
