This just posted on my InfoWorld blog:

Save money on Office 2010 by first upgrading to 2007

If you have Office 2003 Ultimate and you want to upgrade to Office 2010 Pro, there’s a trick that’ll save you two hundred bucks – but you need to do it now, while the boxes are still available. Well worth reading.

I was going to try the “Ultimate Steal” upgrade to Office Pro 2007 Academic from Office 2003, for $79 (with a free upgrade to Office 2010). However, the MS web site has changed to now offer only Office 2010 Academic for the same price.
I am trying to find out on how many computers I can install 2010 Academic (I qualify). Is it the usual one desktop and one laptop?
      Thanks,
      HH

The instructions aren’t clear, to me anyway. So it’s likely that the usual desktop-plus-laptop rules apply.
