Oy. And I hoped it was  a passing fad.

I just saw my first “Metro style” KB article and I’m ready for the funny farm.

Metro is great for telphones and passable for rarely-used corners of Windows 8. But KB articles? Is nothing sacred?

    1. Good gravy! Is the title of a Metro-style KB article supposed to be THAT big?

In my FireFox v13.0.1 browser, the text below is normal size, but the title is so large that I can read it from the neighbors’ porch…and written in that most boring of fonts, “Courier” (a.k.a. 1960s monospaced manual typewriter font).

Is that MS’s notion of a trendy new look? :P I’ve seen better style in the leftovers + irregulars bin at frumpy thriftshops.

    2. In Chrome 20 on Win 7 HP SP1, the title, while a bit large, is not so huge it can be seen from Space. This formatting change is trivial compared with the excessive amounts of simpleton downspeak condescending upon us throughout the entire article. Get to the point, already!

Well, for IT Pros, there’s still the Technet version. And it doesn’t have extra-large Courier Font headlines.
