    1. No matter, I’m waiting for Windows9 and IE10 in 2014, when I finally have to shoot my XP and leave it by the side of the virtual road.

    2. Abe Lincoln once said (loosely quoted) “there is a man I do not like. I will have to get to know him better”

Well… I don’t want to get to know Windows 8 any better than I do right now.

    3. Wasn’t there an episode of Fawlty Towers (John Cleese as Basil Fawlty) in which someone had died, a guest was complaining about the smell, an Basil said “It isn’t THAT bad, is it?” ?

Is this what you’re referencing in your title?

Wish I could find a YouTube video of the scene.

And no, Windows 8 isn’t THAT bad. But it sure stinks.

      Blimey. Busted.

    5. I’d still like to find a link to a video clip of that Fawlty Towers scene. Like Cringely often includes in his Infoworld blog.
