Windows 8 RTM
Posted on August 3rd, 2012 at 23:55 5 commentsMan oh man.
Windows 8 RTM works one whole HECK of a lot better than RP.
Fast. Slick. Haven’t tried it with touch just yet.
But what is this stupid Bing tile? And where are Music and Videos?

Dear Woody,
I’m not trying to trip you up, honestly, but shouldn’t there be a link to a story with this?

That’s nice. Which version are you using; want to reveal your download source?
Windows 8 Forum has a thread on 8-RTM’s ‘ugliness’ (not former Metro but legacy Desktop): uninspired and uninspiring at best — any sign of an Aero or Aero-lite theme?
Any sign of the Gadget service in RTM’s Windows’ Options?
Stay happy!

I hope Windows 8 won’t suffer the same PR backlash as what happened to Windows Vista when that one first came out.

@Hans-Peter -
Several Enterprise and Pro versions are making the rounds. Google is your friend.
No Aero, although somebody jury-rigged a sorta Aero light interface. Details on winunleaked.info
I don’t see any vestiges of Gadgets.

It’s still in the “leaked copy” phase, so not much to write about. Yet.
