The last part of the reply from Microsoft says that the program has been “suspended”. That does not sound like “dropped” to me.
What are your thoughts?
Funny you should ask. It sounded to me like an admission, of sorts – when I expected full denial.
The wording is odd, to say the least.

As if other Tech Companies haven’t had similar campaigns for decades.
I got offered three times to promote Symantec/Norton for pay online. AFTER I had dispatched Norton 360 with Extreme Prejudice from my PC!
Ah, those were the days!
