  • Rumor: New Surface All-In-One PC in October

I’m trying really, really hard to think of something I want less than a Surface All-In-One. Considering the hardware problems with the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, Microsoft better hope Kaby Lake fares better.

MaryJo Foley has the scoop (or at least the speculation) on ZDNet.

We’ve been down this road before thank you MS. My heart bled for the agony Surface Pro/Book buyers have been through since October 2015.
Anyway the new Acer Aspire Switch Alpha already has you beat…fan free, i5 and i7 cpu’s with no throttling. $700-$950. Keyboard included.
Nowadays would trust Acer a lot more than Microsoft.
Trouble is the Alpha’s also run [or try to run?] Windows 10.

Are they code naming it “Cardinal” because you’ll need a lot of prayers to actually get it to work?

Here’s a candidate for something you would want less than a Surface All-in-One: A Surface All-in-One with a USB-based robotic surgical arm and Windows 10-driven do-it-yourself appendectomy/colonoscopy software.

Just imagine the fun you can have at home with this on Patch Tuesday…
