Many of you will recall that PA Bear, also known as Robear — Microsoft MVP and Answers forum legend Robert Dyer — passed away on November 26.

I’ve just learned that there will be a memorial service for him on Saturday, February 24, at Stokesay Castle in Reading PA.

No formal invitation is necessary, but if you’re able to attend, please let me know and I’ll pass the info along to Mike Gent and the other organizers.

PA Bear helped so many people, for so many years. His departure has come as quite a shock and he will be sorely missed.

I worked “side by side” with him for years on the forum. He was indeed a man I respected greatly. Microsoft is just not courting his kind and I doubt anyone of his quality will replace him. Microsoft will try to use his tips and solutions as part of their “AI” program and never credit him for them.
