• Reported major problem with KB 4088883 – the Preview of the April Monthly Rollup for Server 2012

    The Monthly Rollup Preview for Server 2012 appears to have a significant problem.

    KB 4088883 was released on March 22, and it’s been triggering bluescreens with 0x000000C4 ever since.

    Unless somebody at Microsoft figures this out and fixes it fast, the same bug could appear in this month’s Patch Tuesday crop.

    Of course, you wouldn’t install a Preview if your life depended on it.

    This is the way Previews are supposed to work — the early volunteers get clobbered. The other half of the equation implies that Microsoft fixes the Preview before it becomes a Postview.
