Patch reliability is unclear, but widespread attacks make patching prudent. Go ahead and patch, but watch out for potential problems. |

Mullvad is a commercial VPN service based in Sweden (which is part of the 14 eyes). Launched in March 2009, Mullvad operates using the WireGuard and OpenVPN protocols. It also supports ShadowSocks as a bridge protocol for censorship circumvention…
* Mullvad VPN isn’t secure nor private.

@ Alex5723 Correct.
Even Vpn’s based in Switzerland are easily persuaded by governments to hand over connection meta-data (so recent history proved), and identification is not too difficult.
:-(

I disagree. I’ve been a Mullvad user for over six years and have never had a reason to look elsewhere.
I suggest anyone shopping for a VPN service read Mullvad’s Policies and any or all of their hundreds of Blog posts, esp those related to privacy. Then decide.

Nope. Mullvad does not have any “meta-data” to “hand over”. No customer information. No customer data. Period.
“Since Mullvad VPN by law is not required to collect any data related to our users’ activities online – and since the pure purpose of our service is to protect users from collection of such data – it is in our interest, our customers interest, all our employees and owners’ interest to not collect any data and therefore there is no reasonable grounds to doubt that we do not collect any data about our users’ activities online.”

So they don’t save any data. 14Eyes in doing it on their infrastructure.
If you value your privacy never connect or pass through VPN servers in 14Eyes countries.
If you value your privacy stay off the net and don’t use credit cards…
For net privacy HTTPS will keep prying eyes out of everything except what site(s) you connect to.
cheers, Paul

Yes, I do. USA is the pillar of 14Eyes.
You never use a USA VPN.

You can keep your privacy and be (almost) safe providing you use Apple devices, Apple Pay…
Examples : iMessage Contact Key Verification

Quite right, so I never switch on my pc to keep everything safe.
😀
Perhaps getting rusty here, that’s very well possible who knows.
Do you have more info about (Eu) court issues etc?
I hope they will stand in this mess in Europe
