Any way to change the width of an individual cell without changing the width of the whole column?

I don’t think you can do this. Maybe, you can merge the cell with the cell next to it and play with that.

        I feared so-thanks!

          You have nothing to fear.
Merged cells are exactly what you need.
You can combine adjacent columns (and rows if required) to create a cell of any width that is different from those above and below it. This is great for ‘spreadsheet forms’. The trick is to start with all columns at a ‘friendly’ initial width. For example, set a new sheet with all columns set to ‘width 4’ – then merge your cells to create required columns of multiples of 4, then within that column you can also have cells of ‘different’ widths.

Thanks, Zeddy. Care to contribute re my data consolidation problems (especially the prompts)?
            Thanks,

I’ve just downloaded your file and will look at it later.
Hope to get back to you soon but I have a five-hour meeting in the local pub.

Is Toontown having a Bank Holiday on May Day itself – as well as next Monday? grin
