I loaded a copy of Windows 2004 on to an exterior hard drive per Susan Bradley’s instructions at the beginning of October. Today I proceeded to install it on my Dell laptop. It went through all of its checking systems and began the download only to get stuck at 30%. I have plenty of space and the computer is new – purchased last year. Any suggestions why this is happening?

Make sure you are disconnected from the internet before attempting to install 2004, otherwise it will attempt to download 20H2, which may the why it’s stalled.

Put your laptop in flight mode is easiest.

        cheers, Paul
