Win10 Update from 1909 to version 20H2 caused loss of user profile and boots to a log on screen.  Any entry to the log on screen simply results in another reboot to the same log on screen.  Using Win 10 64 with local account.

What antivirus are you using? Specs of the machine?  Typically this is caused by a race condition holding the user profile “locked” while the system boots.

Can you log in, change to “other user”  and try there? Your profile is still there, you are just logging into a temp profile.  And sorry for the stupid question – have you tried a reboot?
