        Before I did this I of course imaged (Macrium free) my SSD to an external drive and then disconnected that drive during the install.

        Sometimes I am impatient, yet I am not on the preview group. So I grabbed an iso of 21H1-19043.985, burnt it to a USB stick, stuck the stick in and clicked on setup. A half hour or so later I am on 21H1. During install I told it to take the updates, so when I checked just now (wuMgr) I have:(see list at bottom)

        I sent a page to my HP color laserjet M254dw and it did not print. Sent it a test page and still nothing. On a whim I set the sabrent switch to off and then on, and all was well (this is on a 4 port sabrent USB3 extension with button switches for each.)(so plug and pray woke it up)

        I ran a simple short bench but all seems well.

        My privacy settings remained unchanged (everything is off).

          There’s a new “serve espresso” button which seems to work fine. 😉

            where did you get this 21H1 ISO, krism?
            I know Microsoft has not released any official 21H1 ISOs yet (except for the 21H1 preview ISOs that are build 19043.928)

              I knew there would be tons of torrents out there. I found one that I thought I could trust on piratebay (my demonoid logon no longer works) and took the latest one(it was “magnetic”, whatever that means!)(very well seeded, took about 20 min on a 200Mbps line.) (I use BitTorrent classic.) I knew what release number/version I was looking for. This came down with maybe 15 languages(9GB tot, but basic iso is 4GB), in Win Pro as STD key or DLA key depending on which you have. (I thought I had given my Win10 a real key but mine shows as DLA(digital key) in System, so I chose that when starting the install. No problems.)

              Note: always be careful with torrents! This is the first time in maybe a year that I have grabbed anything off a torrent. I’ve never been hurt but ymmv – be careful!

              Another note – torrenting Win10 and release: there was a lot of talk that this release:
              Integrated / Pre-installed:
              * Servicing Stack:
              * 10.0.19041.925
              * CumulativeUpdate:
              * KB5001330
              * NET Framework 3.5
              * Cumulative Update for
              * NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8:
              * KB4601554
              Windows defender was current
              was indeed the one that would go to rtm so I believed that, but one always takes a chance!

        I did notice an artifact after the install. It had lost the letter assignment of my external 1T SSD. Easily fixed. There was another but I neglected to write it down and brain fog got the better of me.

        I want to add a comment – because I mentioned it, I did get logged on to demonoid and found 3 – all VERY scary, clearly hacked and illegal. Glad I found the one on piratebay. Be very careful if you follow this path, folks. Always use a legal, legit MS license.
