I’ve switched my default browser to the freeware (donationware) Slim Browser. It is still wrapped around the IE base but has a lot more functionality. Some highlights include: You can open multiple windows in one browser instance (tabbed interface), it can remove all pop-ups automatically, It seems to be faster than MS IE and you can group pages for auto open. There are a few weaknesses such as no LINKS bar at this point and the seeming inability to add custom toolbars (the author says some limitation of the wrapping technology). But overall, I am very satisfied so far. There is an active forum available under the Help menu. You might want to give this a try.
