Since I’m a happy 10.5″ iPad Pro user, plus I have a Kindle Paperwhite for lengthy reading, are there any good reasons for me to also own an Amazon Fire Tablet (even for Android testing purposes)? I also have a Fire TV and multiple Amazon Echo devices.

      Thanks!

Only if you “need” another tablet. I just updated an old phone to the biggest phone I could get and now I don’t need a tablet.
p.s. Fire may run Android but not the same apps, so it’s not really a good test.

      cheers, Paul

Sounds good. So far my iPad Pro handles everything I need, so it’d likely be redundant for the time being. I could always get another iPad like an iPad Mini as a backup in case I needed a backup tablet. Thanks for the great info.

One quick side question: Is there a way to install apps on a Kindle Fire from other sources besides Amazon (such as sideloading apps on it) in the event I needed to run custom apps on it that are not on the Amazon appstore?
