Maybe due to infringements on Intel’s 64-bit proprietary technologies .

Apple is removing Rosetta from Macs during updates in certain countries in Mac 11.3 beta 3. Maybe this is due to legal issues? “Rosetta will be removed upon installing this update” “Rosetta is no longer available in your region. Applications requiring Rosetta will no longer run”

Alex, I think it will be nicer to have more than a tweet to go by.

For example, oh, I don’t know … IN WHICH COUNTRIES?

Thanks, Alex, the MacRumors article you have given us the link to just now does not answer my question, but gives me some perspective on this unexpected development. I would opine here on why this might be and what consequences it might have, for Apple as much as for the potential M1 Mac users. But I think that would be redundant because it is already well said in the comments that follow the article.
