backup web hotmail to local drive.

I can no find no way to backup the web base Hotmail account to a local drive.

I am talking about the web based version – no local PST file.

Microsoft info has choosing a menu pick that doesn’t exist.

The apps I have tried do nothing or give ambiguous errors.

Anyone know of a reliable way to download/backup Hotmail to a local drive?

I do not get those email menu choices.

I am using the web version of Hotmail.

PST file not on local machine but Microsoft servers.

I do not go through Outlook to see the email.

You should. Look carefully.

If you get something different from the above at “View all Outlook settings”, please give us a screenshot.

You don’t need an Outlook app to export the mailbox from Outlook.com, formerly named Hotmail, as illustrated in the screenshot.

On my personal Hotmail account, I can see the Export mailbox option, but my work account doesn’t have that. Guessing a school account might be similar. So, if Oberon’s account is one of those types, might explain why they don’t see it.

Haven’t tried this with hotmail but works great with gmail and outlook pst files for email archiving. Much faster search than outlook and portable too.

Does not work.

Can not find/see hotmail account.

Mail settings do not include the web based Hotmail.

Found Systools has a Hotmail backup program that works. Also a converter program to convert between different email types.

Yes, it is a license for one email account.

If you need it for more than one, you will need to purchase the multiple license.

Fairly easy to use and seems to work well.
