MS-DEFCON 2:
Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it.

AskWoody MVPHey Y’all,
Here’s one for the books. Two machines both running W10 1809.
In Windows Optional Features you’ll find Microsoft-Hyper-V
on the other machine you’ll won’t find Microsoft-Hyper-V but rather VirtualMachinePlatform as the optional feature.
This one had me scratching the ole noggin for a while as I’ve displayed the windows version on the desktop and both reported: Build 17763.rs5_release.180914-1434.
However upon running WinVer I discovered:
Just gotta love the Microsofties don’t you?

NetDef
AskWoody_MVPHome versus Pro editions.
On Pro you get a real Hyper-V which allows you to host VM’s using Microsoft’s engine.
On Home you get Windows Hypervisor Platform which is a set of API’s required by some third party virtual machine engines – but not much else.
More info about the latter here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/api/
