Confirmed. Recently set up an account after installing Windows 11 Pro 22H2 and I successfully managed to avoid the need to use my Microsoft account. The plan is to stick with a local account, no matter what “benefits” I’m supposed to get from using the MS account (they are either not benefits to me or features I don’t need at all).

      Hey Y’all,

I just setup a new Beelink SMF. It came with 11 Pro.
During the OOBE I only had to deny the MS account twice and didn’t have to enter the fake email.
Note: I did not connect to the internet!

I could not do this, although I tried four times with two different methods, including the one Susan used.  I was connected to to the Internet.  I was going to switch to a local account, but I was informed by Microsoft that the Windows registration key is stored with the Microsoft account.  If one switches to a local account, one must backup the key separately.  So I will stay with the Microsoft account for now. (I’m lazy and also liable to lose the key).

For the people having trouble accomplishing this, could it have something to do with S Mode? I haven’t setup an S Mode system in a couple years or so.
