• Can’t print partial pages

In Office 2019 Pro Plus for Windows 10, I recently discovered that I cannot print a range of pages. For instance, I tried to print pages 2-3 of a 3 page document; it appeared to go to the printer, but nothing printed. When I printed all pages, they printed OK. No other print options chosen other than defaults.

“Receive updates for other Microsoft products when you update Windows” is on, so I assume that Office is patched to the latest revision.

    Any suggestions?

Could you post a screen shot of your Print selections?

Check the status of the printer, open the printer queue and see whats happening.
Try to print selection into the file (Microsoft to PDF, Bullzip PDF printer, …).

If selection can be stored into file or printed on other printer, your printer/driver is to blame.
If the selection print does not work anyway, the Office application is to blame.

Doriel is right on about the Printer Queue. If a job is stuck you can clear the print queue as follows:

From a Admin Level Command Prompt:

      net stop spooler
      DEL /F /S /Q %systemroot%\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*
      net start spooler

      HTH 😎

There’s nothing in the print queue. When I try and fail to print partial pages, I then print all pages successfully. I tried printing partial pages to PDF–same problem… nothing happens after I click the Print button. No Save dialog. I tried these things with several documents, with the same results.

So it looks like a Word problem. Any suggestions on how to solve it? Other than moving to Microsoft 365, which is not possible right now.

There are some things, you could try. I dont know, if udating your office app will solve the issue. I tried searching your problem on other forums and it seems to me, like its not a known bug.

I would definatelly try to repair your Office package. Look at this webpage.
Apart of official tools, there are also third party uninstallers for completely removing apps including its traces and leftovers. Like Revo, for example.

If Repair Office from the Control Panel will not help, on the linked webpage, there is also application for completely uninstalling Office package. Its called Office uninstall support tool. If I were you, I would run this tool and give it a go.
        Then install Office 2019 again.

PS – before removing Ofiice make sure, you have your license key and know, how to license your product.
