• CCleaner and Google Chrome

If you use CCleaner to clean Chrome, it does not completely clean it. If you want Chrome to be thoroughly cleaned, then you have to use the internal cleaner within Chrome (Settings > Advanced > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data). If you are not having any problems, then it probably doesn’t matter which method you use. But, I was having trouble with malware causing browser redirects and the antivirus software could not find where it was hiding. Since using the Chrome internal cleaner I have not had any problems, so malware writers probably discovered they can take advantage of the CCleaner flaw and hide malware somewhere inside Chrome that is not cleaned by CCleaner and goes undetected by antivirus software.
