Nice of them to oblige, almost 24 hours after the fact. KB 3035583 now mentions Last Review: 02/24/2016 15:20:00 – Revision: 10.0 (that’s a bounce up

The Windows Update page also links to the Knowledge Base page which clearly indicates that 5583 is a get Windows “App”…Now they’re calling it an “App”…Talk about Laugh Out Loud.

“”Update installs Get Windows 10 app in Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 SP1″”

At least they’re being honest about it!

“Install this update to resolve issues in Windows.”

I love this quote in the description. The only “issues” this is designed to fix is the fact you are still running anything but Windows 10. My Grandma always used to tell me that you will “go to H&ll for lying”. LOL.

You beat me to it. They just want to get every user they can on Win10. Excuse me Microsoft, having Win 7 or 8.1 installed is not an issue that needs to be resolved.

“Resolving issues?” Still trying to trick users.

The part that doesn’t sit well with me is that the updates are “forced” upon you and 24 hours or so later you find out what is done. This doesn’t inspire trust. So if Microsoft was issued a request to gather the data that was capture by Windows 10, when are you getting notified exactly? Patches = 24 hours Requests = by mail a week or so after the request was granted?
