      This was one of the most helpful columns I have seen in years. It brings to mind the often useful advice on some websites that ad blockers should be disabled before using their site.

      I wonder if uninstalling third party “security solutions” is implying that third party anti-malware applications (such as Malwarebytes) should also be uninstalled before staring a “feature” update?

        While I’m not tracking any blocked installs by malwarebytes there have been issues in the past with other security software.  Bottom line, wouldn’t hurt.

      I t is also amazing that the MS techs did not glom onto that 3rd party encryption right away!
