MemberThe law is not necessarily stupid, although I could think of some recent examples not too far from where I live. But it certainly can be dumbed down, and it is, when one side is determined not to let the other get anything important done, to make sure that voters get disappointed and are not keen on voting for that side; and when the negotiations to finally agree on the details to get urgently needed laws being passed are conducted under the barrel of a gun, thanks to some inventive parliamentary blocking procedures. In other words: when the normal democratic ways of running a country are badly impaired thanks to certain interested actors that like them that way.
So yes, as chasrome has noted, it is no fun at all.
