The specs look plausible, but as was updated, the prices are 2x to 4x of current USA expectations. Maybe higher prices in Europe.

A 128GB Slate with a core-i5 processor would run hot, I would think. But otherwise, with Win 8 Pro, the real question is still the price. And whether a full reinstall or restoration from a backup image would work on this Slate. Looks interesting at first glimpse.

Any info yet on whether the new Surface Windows 8 pro has LCD or LED screen? That is basic info I need. (LED bothers me. I use LCD screens.)

LCD screens are becoming rare. Most devices these days are LED. Older LCDs used to use a Tiny Fluorescent Tube backlight, which could burn out or become damaged. Imagine that happening inside a Tablet! LEDs don’t burn out and rarely break.
