Used to be able to upload and post images (screenshots, etc.) in posts and replies when logged in.  Did this feature go away?  Only option I see now is to link to an image hosted elsewhere.

Seems to be working here. But limit is 1MB.

I’m no longer seeing the option in the post/reply box.  I vaguely remember it being something about adding/uploading an attachment.  I’d post a screenshot of what this reply box looks like on my end, but . . .  😉

Info: Firefox latest version, adblockers disabled.

At the bottom – Select file. Once you do, it uploads attachment. Then there are three links, one of which is “Insert in content”

Not sure what happened. Another “roles” glitch. Looking into it….

Just trying to stay warm during the polar vortex.

Did not “attach” the image.  This way anonymous members can see it.

Manual use of bbcode/tags didn’t work.  Had to use the image insertion (mountain) button on the toolbar at the far right next to the link button.

Looks like your image came through ok but are you not seeing the “Select File” box at the bottom of the Reply window?? The one that PKCano shows in post #318792.

The box shows up for me.

“Select File” is for uploading & attaching.  Although it is visible for me, I was running a different test.  Which succeeded for the most part.

Currently I do not see the ‘Attachments’ and ‘Select File’ button, also as above NetDef. Is it possible that one other thread is corrupted also, because the Date and Times here look wrong:

      https://www.askwoody.com/forums/topic/microsoft-patch-alert-january-patches-stumbled-all-over-themselves-but-theyre-finally-looking-reasonably-stable/#post-318532

I clicked on the ‘Insert/Edit Image’ mountain button at far right above, but could not use the ‘Source’ box, so I just ‘copied and pasted’ the picture that I see above. Not sure if this will work, but if not, check the link, and look at the Dates and Times are out of order.

Second attempt to ‘copy/paste’ picture also failed. Note that on the link above you may need to scroll up and down to review the last three dates/times. Jan 31 pm, then Jan 30 pm, then Jan 31 am.  Good luck, this ‘Whale Swallowing’ is difficult. Keep up the good work.

Use the Attachments pane below the text editor box, to select a file to include in your post. Using the “img” or “insert/edit image” buttons (on the Text or Visual editor tabs) requires an online secure image, or won’t work. Likewise, copying and pasting will not work.

However, we are having intermittent issues, and in attempting to reply to this post, I ended up on a page that had no ability to reply AND didn’t have the warning that I wasn’t able to post to this topic (the option that usually appears when a topic isn’t currently available). It’s affecting all of us! and hopefully it won’t last too much longer!!

Well, you might try bbCode, or not…

Honestly not trying to be a pest, just reporting in case it’s useful to your web devs: (and if you prefer I’ll stop reporting these)

But the attachments block has gone away again.

      Happy bug hunting!

Yes, gone again. I wanted to post a print-screen shot to accompany 323190, but have no button.

Curiously too: for this reply, I clicked on the REPLY button at the very top (318770), but it was dead. Twice. Clicked on 321874 (just above), and it was OK. Cancelled. Went back to the top: this time it worked, for right now.

I’m sealing off this thread. It looks like one of the replies got mangled, internally.

I’m sure the lost attachment button problem occurs intermittently. Biggest question is whether they’ll continue to go haywire after we swallow the whale….

It’s certain that there’s a BIG issue with this topic – yesterday I couldn’t access anything on it after Feb 1st (@lars220’s 2nd post), but today, now it has been closed, it’s loading properly, and allowing me to reply (hint: that’s not meant to be possible!).

        Oh dear…!
