    Happy New Year all!

Back in my Windows 7 days I occasionally ran a “disk defragmenter” function.  Haven’t found that function in Mint 19.2 or 20.3.  Is it there?

No need for a disk defragmenter as linux mint takes care of files itself due to the journaling filesystem on storage.

SSD’s are by default trimmed on occasion in Linux Mint although this can be manually invoked after a cleanup using the Terminal command as follows:
      sudo fstrim -av
(This command trims all volumes/ partitions on connected SSD’s)

There are ways to defragment using the FSCK command but, I would NOT recommend using it at all as this can render your OS inoperable.

My advice, let the Linux journaling system take care of it
