Since a couple of weeks, when I visit the forums of Autodesk, for example, the forums page is displayed briefly and then Edge switches to the Autodesk login screen. I can only visit the forum if I have logged on. First, my thought this was a new Autodesk feature. But no, it happens with other sites (for which I do have an account) as well. Pretty annoying! Chrome doesn’t do this, so I wonder if Microsoft slipped in this new feature, or if there’s something else going on?

Edge is Chrome, so it may be something else. Twitter / Facebook do the same – FOMO is a powerful incentive.

      Not for me.

      Opened and stayed in Chrome.
      Sign-in also stayed with Chrome.

Doesn’t happen to me using Edge v103.0.1264.37.

Maybe a stored Autodesk cookie or an extension you added to Edge is causing this?

Disabling all extensions didn’t solve the problem. Then I started selectively removing cookies. But removing cookies for, as example, accounts.autodesk.com, didn’t solve the problem either. So I ended up removing all cookies. Problem solved!

I delete all cookies when I close the browser. Don’t need “them” tracking me – although this doesn’t stop all tracking.

      cheers, Paul
