Almost all the time, a fairly simple database opens up just fine.

About one time in 20 (a guess) this line of code throws an undefinend error: it is in the Form_Load() event

        DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec

Any ideas why this might be ?

        Thanks
        Martin

        Martin,

Could you post the rest of the Form_Load event? It may be a timing issue if the Access table is also opened in the Load event. HTH 😎
