We are trying to determine if it’s possible on Exchange 2003 to force NDR’s to go to a specific internal address and NOT back to the sender. I see how to turn them off, but we use them for internal purposes. Can this be done? Any help would be appreciated.

No, NDR is intended to be a reply.
What are you trying to do with them?

We have automated emails that go out to road warriors when they are scheduled for an appointment. The NDR’s are currently scheduled to send a copy to IT in order to determine if we have a bad address in the database. We do NOT want them going back to phishers so they know when they have a bad address. If we could turn off the outgoing NDR’s going to the sender and reroute them to IT, that is the goal.

Thank you again for your help.

A better way would be to write a simple smtp check program, or use one from the internet, that tests the address before mail is sent. Then you can run an independent check on the email addresses you are using.
An example test can be found here: NWTools

      cheers, Paul
