    hello !
new lounger, so I hope this is the right place…
I just ‘inherited’ of a network to maintain :
2 distant enough sites ( = long-distance fees for telco)
2 MSExchange servers configured to synchronize
result : phone bills on the 2 lines resemble a fortune500 budget !
(we are 12 people on the big site, and 6 on the small one…)
question : how do I convince MSExchange to dial its sibling once an hour instead of every 2 minutes ?
there sure is a Registry Key out there, but it ain’t in the doc ( hello woody, sounds like something heard)
    thanks
    Marc

is this ex5.5 or 2000? there is a setting in connections that control it, i’m on a ful ltime connection so i’ll need to look them up.

it sounds like it’s dialing when mail arrives in the outbound queue and is trying to send it immediately.

thanks, MaryJ for taking care !
        It’s the 5.5 flavor..
I tried some keywords I could think of , against MSDN Kb, like
“too frequent”, “on line” “synchronize often” and such..
but I do *not* have the vocabulary imagination needed for this search !
        thanks
        Marc
