        Hi all,

I could use your help in creating a formula for my Google Sheet. Here’s a screenshot:

I’d like for Column C (“Monthly Average”) to automatically calculate the following:

        1. If Column D (“Year”) contains content (as it does in rows 4, 5, 7, and 8), then the formula is

        =sum(D4/12)

        2. If Column E (“Month #1”) contains content (as it does in row 6), then the formula is

        =average(E6:G6)

Does anyone know what formula I can use to make this happen?

        Thanks so much!

        =if(isblank(e6),sum(d14/12),average(e6:g6))

I don’t know if Sheets has an “isblank”, but it will have an equivalent.

        cheers, Paul

Thanks for your speedy reply, Paul!

I had to tweak this slightly for C2:

          =IF(ISBLANK(E2),SUM(D2/12),AVERAGE(E2:G2))

          Which works perfectly!

Then I just dragged C2 down throughout the column.

          Thanks again!
