The macOS Big Sur public beta is available now to test out for free from Apple’s beta website.

Apple also highlights “some applications and services may not work as expected and their data may not be backwards compatible. Be sure to back up your Mac using Time Machine before installing the software.”

I have an error: An error occurred installing macOS. You can try again to complete the installation.

I tried several times, without success.

        Any idea?

What is the description of your equipment? Without that information, we cannot answer your question.

Many of the older hardware configurations have been excluded for the Big Sur upgrade. For example, Mac OS Catalina 10.15.6 (to date) is the last OS installable on all of my Ivy Bridge machines. Is yours on Apple’s list to be phased out?

Big Sur has not been released for public use. Is there a reason you need to install the Beta version? It’s bound to have problems that will be ironed out before its release for general use.

Have you tried to upgrade existing MacOS or clean install?
Do you use AFPS file system ?

If you are running MacOS you can install Big-Sur beta side by side and have both OSs
