Thanks, MrBrian. In my case (I was anonymous #183719 on the “biggie” thread), I just hid KB4088875 and the April KB4093118 rollup reappeared, unchecked). I had already done your previous steps at various times in the past. Of course I’m not installing anything until advised to do so, but I was just curious how all this works (or doesn’t …).

KB4093118 came in yesterday and was checked but I put it in the hidden. Will wait till it’s safe to install.

This did not work for me.  I have the key present and I already had both of the updates you mention installed.  The ones you said to hide I do not have installed nor are they hidden and I am not offered them.  I was offered kb4093118 yesterday but it is gone today, not unchecked, just gone.  Oh well.

As my PC already had those updates, just hiding KB4088881 brought back KB4093118  (unchecked) for me.Thanks for your post!

I was curious about KB4093118 so I restored it and it came in as unchecked this time, back to being hidden.

This morning April’s Monthly Rollup KB4093118 was still missing…

Just ran Windows update check, and it showed up checked and important. I didn’t make any changes, so it must have been the metadata change by Microsoft. Just checking to see what’s there. Not installing anything.

@Mr.Brian:  I am assuming that no one should install this KB4093118 until we have the “all clear”?    I already did an extensive check of everything not realizing that I already had this KB listed, as it appeared that some others were not getting it.

Just getting on after a few days in the other world. I listen, apply when necessary, have little faith in MS, but with all the expectations leading up to my woes, Woody, PK Cano, Gone To Plaid, MrBrian MVP Bradley and Loungers, a hearty thanks.
I’m stuck under Dec 2017 updates, holding steady, vulnerable to possible hits once they hit the “wild”. But as a home user for 64bit Win7 Home Premium, the machine is in top shape at the moment, hope it continues. Thanks, y’all are the best.
