      Woody, your final paragraph says it all. In essence, it is not the sheer numbers of Zero Day attacks which makes them so troublesome. It is not the sheer number of affected PCs. It is the strategic value of those systems which are infected which allows Zero Day Exploits to suddenly appear and spread over networks and the Internet like wildfires. As with the recent Blackberry outages, just one or two critical nodes need to go down or become poisoned for havoc to rapidly spread worldwide — or worse.
