Presumably, pretty soon the SATA-3 interface will be standard, so this fiasco my blow over with little notice. Intel should not be getting a free pass on this situation, but with so many motherboards already out there with the flawed chipsets, a recall would be very costly, not just in money terms, but in terms of Intel’s reputation. A real opportunity for AMD and ARM, though, eh?
