KB2919355 Windows 8.1 Update for x64-based Systems just showed up as an important update on my PC, which has been running 8.1 for about 2 years, with regular updates. It indicates that it was published 4/7/2015. Any idea why it’s showing up now? Can I live without it?

      Da Boss

KB2919355 showed up in Windows Update because the supersedence metadata is messed up. Go ahead and install it. It will not overwrite any newer files. But the installation will satisfy Windows Update so it will stop offering it to you.

Thanks. Maybe I don’t need it. I also have the option hide update.

Thanks. It’s pretty strange, since I already have 148 updates installed.
