ManagerThe .NET Cumulative Update is a bundle of updates, one for each of the versions listed (3.5, 4.7.2 and 4.8). Each one of the individual updates in the bundle has it’s own KB number different from the Cumulative.
When you install .NET updates through Windows Update, what you see installed is the KB for whatever of the versions you have installed. For example, if you have 3.5 and 4.7.2 installed, you will not see the update for 4.8, only the other two and they will have different KB numbers than the Cumulative.

Guestkb4514601, when you download it from windows catalog, seems to consist of 2 MSU files:
windows10.0-kb4514366-x64_59c5efa73d0d0b4ff4d7c61bfb05a732fcd7cbb2.msu
windows10.0-kb4514358-x64_b93fca9a74bb0e75ba9e878dd5f2fc537b92a32b.msuanything to bear in mind if doing an offline install? install order etc? cant see any details on this online.

ManagerKB4514601 is a .NET Rollup (bundle). It contains individual patches with different KB numbers depending on which versions of .NET you have installed on your computer. Please see the MS support page linked.
You need KB4514366 if you have .NET 3.5 and 4.7.3 installed.
You need KB4514358 if you have .NET 3.5 and 4.8 installed. If you do not know which versions are installed on your computer, you should let Windows Update handle the installation because it DOES know which versions to install updates for.
