I been a macrium/reflect user for years now and it seems that KB5029331 broke the way that reflect uses Win 10 RE to build a recovery environment

Has anyone else have this issue

The solution so far is to use Win 10 PE to build the recovery environment

KB5030211 was applied on 9/17 and I did a rebuild of the reflect recovery environment today.   It did not make a difference the recovery environment did not boot up

It was suggested to uninstall  KB5029331  — how would that affect any update that I applied after applied KB5029331

Why install preview which is not recommended.
      You better uninstall KB5029331

Yes, I’m have the same issue on one of my 3 computers using Macrium Reflect 8.  The other two are working fine.  All three machines have the current Sept Windows updates installed.

KB5029331  (this is not the preview)
      OS build 19045.3448O
      Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19044.1000.0

Caveat: The laptop that’s throwing the error code below has a dead CMOS battery I haven’t replaced yet.  The Macrium issue may be related as the timing is correct.

Here’s the error code I’m getting.  Do you see the same thing when trying to load the Macrium recovery?

No — -Its KB5029331 — if you can get the computer to  boot into win10,  then   rebuild the  reflect     recovery to use PE 10  — that seems to be the solution

My machine is booting and working just fine and I’ve rebuilt the Macrium PE 10 recovery twice. It’s something else.  My other machines load the recovery environment without error.

I can always boot from a Macrium recovery USB stick if necessary.
