Great idea, right out front and easy to see.
They only show up if you’re not logged in, though.
Would a “Log Out” button of similar coloration and sizing be possible for those who are logged in?
I can see folks on occasion possibly having a hard time finding the button that’s below our name and/or the one just above the top of the page where it’s alongside the other top-banner options.

It’s worth noting our goals here.
One is certainly to make Sign In more obvious. But the other is to encourage those posting in the forums to sign in before posting.
Many people are assiduous in logging out of sites and systems. Our logins will automatically expire, so we’re less concerned about leaving anything hanging. And for those wishing to manually log out, there are two clickable elements that are relatively easy to spot – after all, you know where they are.
Frankly, there is an element of clutter in the new banner. I understood that as I was designing it, and that’s why the banner goes away once a member logs in.

When you are logged in, there is already an easy “Log Out” button under your user name in upper right hand corner of the screen.

Would make much more sense to position this new banner at the ‘Reply’ or ‘New Topic’ input boxes as well as OR instead of it’s current position.
Between ‘Your Information’ Input panel and Visual/ Text input Box. The Your Information box is already is set up for this behaviour (..hint) as below:
IF YOU DON’T SEE THE BANNER, YOU’RE SIGNED IN.
IF YOU DO SEE THE BANNER, YOU’RE SIGNED OUT.
Visual simplicity WHERE and WHEN it actually counts.

Based on your note, I did discover that the three buttons in the site’s top banner had the wrong color. The button color and hover color are supposed to be #154070 and #337abd, respectively. These two colors match the logo. I’ve fixed that. The new buttons are correct.

Your point is well taken and will be addressed in due course. However, it won’t be with this banner.
