Manual Archiving Not Working (Outlook 2003)

I try to manually archive emails by setting a date (Older than …) . After I click OK, I saw at the right bottom “archiving …”, but no files are actually being archived. The old files are still in the old folder. Can anyone help ?

Another question, is it possible to set my personal calendar on the local machine, instead of the calendar on the server, as my default calendar ? Thanks.

Replies

The date used to archive is not necessarily the sent/receive date or the date of an appointment. If items have been accessed recently or perhaps imported from another server or folder, they have new modified dates for archiving purposes.
