        Employees have access to internal systems and tools that allow them to take over accounts?

        Access to internal systems and tools is available to external parties without secure 2FA?

        Who wrote that pile of ordure?

        Some initial observations:

        1. A lot can be told about the identity of the perps by who was targeted and who was not…and from what I understand, it wasn’t just everyone with a verified account. There were plenty of verified account holders who were not hacked; although that is a giant common denominator, it is not absolute.
        2. A lot can be learned by what all the people who were hacked have in common…

        OK, back to my Nero Wolfe books… 🙂

        I also can’t believe there are enough people dumb enough working at Twitter to be “Engineered” like this…I can believe there were enough general-public cyber-crook-unsaavy people out there to cough up $100,000+…
