Susan Bradley Patch Lady
Hi all, just thought I’d throw a word out there from the Win 7 renegade bunch! 🙂
Susan wrote, “Remember Windows 7 is officially out of support so if you are still using it, please do not be using it to surf, browse, etc ensure that you are using it in isolation away from the Internet. 0Patch is an option for those of you.”
I’m happy to report that using 0Patch, a strong browser, a strong email client (Firefox and Thunderbird, both regularly updated, FF every ten minutes it seems),a good firewall, and have MSE updated twice daily, I still manage to surf the net with no issues, knock on wood. (Taps head-ow.) Weekly backups and malware/virus sweeps complete the regimen.
(As I write this, FF wants to update again. I always set a restore point before I update anything.)
Win7 Pro SP1 64-bit, Dell Latitude E6330, Intel CORE i5 "Ivy Bridge", 12GB RAM, Group "0Patch", Multiple Air-Gapped backup drives in different locations. Linux Mint Greenhorn
