I’ve had my current custom built PC for over 3 years now. I currently Have 2 SSD and 1 HD drives in my tower presently. I would like to know if I can add any others to it. Mainly HD(s). I have a Thermaltake https://www.thermaltakeusa.com/v100.html V100 tower. I would like any help that I can get.B350M-MORTAR

If you have available SATA ports and drive bays, yes you can.  You’ll need to format the HDD.

Always create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates; you may need to start over!

How do I determine if I have available SATA ports and drive bays? I am not familiar with computer hardware. Would it be visible when I look inside?

So the V100 is just a housing …. An expert should be able to help with the specs from the (Design Tab) V100 Housing Link you gave. Below seems relevant although which motherboard and other components you used would appear to be equally important.

The simple math says if you have 4 SATA ports and 3 current drives, you’ve got one SATA port left for an HDD. IF one SSD is an M.2, then two seem available for HDD.

The B350-M PDF Manual (diagram) Pg 23/84 shows the 4 SATA ports on the Right Lower half of the board and the M.2 slot more towards Center from that area. See link and decide how far you can go before getting the same store involved…

Further to CraigS26’s comment, you will need to get SATA data cables for any new HDDs as shown on page 1 of that manual and further details on page 8, fig. 2.  Plug one end into the SATA connector on the motherboard as shown on page 8, fig. 3 and the other end into the HDD as shown on page 8, fig. 4.

You will also need to check your power supply to see if it has any additional ports and cables designated for powering SATA drives. See page 8, figure 5.

If your case has extra places to mount the HDDs, the power supply has the capacity to connect more SATA devices and you obtain the needed cables, you should be able to hook it all up (with power shut off of course), then restart the computer and format the drives.

I after careful consideration have decided to forego the possible 4th Drive. I am simply going to go another route all together. I will save this information. Should I decide to add another HDD.
