..The first and only browser with an integrated AI image generator
At Microsoft, we want to put exciting innovation right at your fingertips to power your productivity – and creativity. This is why we are excited to announce that Image Creator is now available on desktop for Edge users around the world. This feature will help you create images that don’t yet exist, powered by the very latest DALL∙E models from our partners at OpenAI, right from the Microsoft Edge sidebar. If you’ve ever found yourself in need of a very specific visual for a social post or even a PowerPoint, Image Creator can help you find exactly what you need. Without losing your flow, simply navigate to the sidebar on the right side of your browser, tap on the Image Creator icon, enter your prompt, and you will see four different image options to choose from. Once you select the one that fits your needs, you can download it and add to your document or upload it to social media. When using Image Creator in Microsoft Edge for the first time, you’ll need to enable it in the Edge sidebar by clicking the “+” icon and turning on the toggle key for Image Creator…

This hit a nerve… about ‘sheer audacity’. Microsoft’s ‘plunder on’ attitude whilst ignoring continual problems.

Whatever… I’m going to go with it, otherwise it’s going to be an itch that isn’t scratched… so here we go…

“Also known as “let’s throw resources at new shiny-shiny that no-one asked for… instead of, for example, fixing Windows networking that hasn’t worked properly since Windows 7.”

Way to go, Redmond, for your sense of priorities. Forget the broke, embrace the woke.

(I’ll avoid the over-used ‘re-arranging deckchairs on the Titanic’ meme. Oops…)

I’ve been thinking about why it’s harder and harder to just ‘use’ Windows… without hassle. It’s obvious that Microsoft doesn’t pay much, if any, attention to their ‘feedback’ mechanisms’. It’s ‘Answers’ platform appears to be a joke.

IMO, it makes you wonder what the end-game is if WE end-users appear to be as unimportant as Microsoft now treats us.

What’s Satya ‘cloud-focused’ Natella have up his sleeve, if anything?

I smell the slight whiff of desperation. obscured by the musk of new developers straight out of design school… with no knowledge, no experience. I suspect that was how Windows 11 was ‘created’… the result of a mis-judged frat party with no adults in charge.

And that mind-set is how, IMO, Bing AI was created… out of desperation… and why it’s newly iterated again and again and again as new flaws are found. IMO it’s flawed… but Microsoft just can’t take the investor hit. It’s a technology that have never once live up to what was promised. It’s another failed experiment… lit ‘Bit.whatever’. It’s an attempt at a mirage… which fails more often than not.

I don’t have the artistic skills to render Ashton Kutcher demanding to know “Dude, where’s my Windows 12?”.

Somehow it all went wrong when developers like Raymond Chen stopped talking to us little people; stopped asking us ‘what is it that you want?’ BUT, more importantly, LISTENED to us. It was heady days… and Windows appeared to be almost co-owned by Microsoft and its user-base.

Now? I hate to say it but I absolutely detest Microsoft’s apparent ‘Our way or the highway…” attitude to users….

      Well, Microsoft… just remember:

As ye sow, so shall ye reap
      Galatians 6:7

So… I’ve had my say (maybe for the moment).

      What do others think?”
