Recently, Edge has frozen for a period of time, then started working again. I checked Task Manager and found Edge using over 70% of the CPU resource. Any idea why this is happening? I tried Chrome and had the same issue. Sometimes I’ve had to end the task to get back to working. I have several tabs open on 3 monitors .

Tell us something about your computer.
What generation CPU? How much RAM? HDD or SSU? etc.
What Version and Build of Win10 are you running? (Type winver in the Searchbox and hit Enter.)

might also be an idea to disclose which version of MSFT Edge is being used and whether it’s updating properly 😉
Stable Channel most current version is 112.0.1722.58 (at time of posting)

I have a i7-6700 @3.49Ghzm 16meg ram, .5 gig SSD, all software up to date, Kaspersky antivirus

However I think I found the problem – I reset all Edge options – a bad extension may have caused the problem. I’ll watch today and see if the issue is resolved. Thanks for the ideas.
