Microsoft Outlook is not sending 2FA codes to either my phone or alternate email address. Started afternoon of 5/17. Happened also about a month ago and Susan had responded that the service that sends the codes was backed up. Does anyone know if that is the case today?

AskWoody PlusYou’re not using legacy 2FA
No just going directly to http://www.outlook.com through browser and never had problem except a month ago as mentioned above.
Finally drilled down to microsoft support and got great chat agent who had me log directly into microsoft account at https://account.microsoft.com and the 2FA code came back on that one and then it started working again with direct log in even after logging back out of the account.
So I don’t know if logging into the account itself cleared something or if like earlier the code sender backlog cleared but this makes me more interested in getting one of those authenticator usb’s as a backup.

AskWoody PlusIt is failing again but only on Microsoft. Went back to support chat but they were unable to figure out what is happening. Since it seems to have something to do with Azure I went to that support site and as requested tried to sign in to MS and got error that I had requested too many codes for one day and to try tomorrow so could not get support. Gee!!! Is anyone else having a 2FA code problem?

AskWoody PlusWorking again. Not being able to get into your email for 2 days plus last month’s same thing just because MS cannot send a simple, *#%?@ text code to your phone is just unbelievable. With 2FA you have some protection against the criminals, but when if fails it is like being locked out of your own house – not a good situation.
