Like others (from Microsoft forums) I am now getting constant nagging popups from Microsoft 365 products (Word, Outlook, Excel).   I have to keep declining to send data nearly with every open of each product over and over again.   This started a couple of days ago after the latest patch.   My microsoft account was changed to an outlook email address that I didn’t ask for so I had to switch that back to my normal account but now it just keeps nagging me over and over and over and over and over …

Anyone else in this distinguished group getting this ?

Is the account you’re using now an administrator? That may be necessary.

What data are you declining to send?

Try reducing your screen resolution temporarily as it’s quite likely that there’s an acceptance box and OK button for the privacy policy off to the right of what you’re seeing.

      Hi WarningU2:

Are you seeing the same prompts shown in MrMadMattyX’s 14-Aug-2023 Stop dialog popup “Microsoft respects your privacy” in the Microsoft 365 and Office board of the MS Answers forum?

If so I saw the “RESTART REQUIRED: Restart Office to apply changes to your privacy settings” message a few days ago in the top message banner when I opened MS Outlook 2019 a few days ago on my Win 10 Pro v222H2 laptop, but I closed and re-opened Outlook and since then I haven’t been seeing any further prompts to re-configure my MS Office 2019 privacy settings. I also checked at File | Options | General | Privacy Settings and confirmed that none of my MS Office 2019 privacy settings have been changed.  Note that I normally have all optional diagnostic data, connected experiences and personalized offers for MS Office 2019 disabled.

Most users with the same issue in that thread found that at File, Account, User information they were signed in with two different accounts and signing out one of them prevented the annoyance.

Yes they are the same prompts (dialog boxes).

        Thanks for all the suggestions.

It looks like it was related to a different account that tried to insert itself after the latest update.   I never changed my microsoft account to it.   MS just decided I should be using a outlook account.   It came up saying I didn’t have this account as my microsoft account and I needed to set it up.

To fix I signed out completely from the bogus outlook account that MS inserted and put in my regular MS account on my two PCs.   I then rebooted and the prompting seems to have stopped.

        Thanks again for your help.
